It was a Webbe of something. And that something was nice.
Britain’s R&B singer Simon Webbe came to town, and did his thing at Bottles and Chimney. The turn out was theek-thak, the rainy evening and dipping temperatures notwithstanding. As for pretty boy Simon himself, well, he belted out hits from his solo albums Sanctuary and Grace, and even some from his disbanded 4-member band Blue. And yeah. All Rise was there alright.
On the flipside though, the place was missing a live orchestra. Simon did have two back up vocalists though. As a person in the crowd observed – in a good way, for she was thoroughly enjoying the evening – the place had the feel of an extremely popular Karaoke night except with really good vocals.
Is Simon pleading Guilty?
