Double-platinum album-selling superstar Simon Webbe is newly-added to the star-studded Fontwell Park Festival line-up.
Simon
shot to fame in 2001 with boy-band Blue who had three number one hit
singles and sold 7 million albums and 4 million singles in just four
years.
The singer/songwriter/actor launched a successful solo career when the four members of Blue went their separate ways.
Simon
has scored four top 20 hits of his own, including Lay Your Hands, No
Worries, After All This Time and Coming Around Again. His debut album
Sanctuary was a double platinum-selling hit, recording 1.5m sales
worldwide. The follow-up Grace went gold.
Simon has a blossoming
career as an actor – co-starring alongside Jennifer Love-Hewitt,
Dougray Scott and Jimi Mistry in rom-com The Truth About Love and
appearing in gangster flick Rollin’ With the Nines.
His latest movie appearance will be a film from director of Predator, Hunt for Red October and Die Hard John McTiernan.
With
a new album called Run in the pipeline, Simon’s performance at the
Fontwell Park Festival is superbly-timed and is much anticipated.
