Blue, the United Kingdom’s representatives at Eurovision 2011 have this morning released the official video to their song “I Can”. The video was shot at the start of the week, just after the group flew back from the Netherlands where they attended the “Eurovision in Concert” event and performed on Dutch show “Life4You”.
The video was directed by Phil Griffin, who has also directed videos for British artists such as Adele, Amy Winehouse, Paul McCartney and McFly. It features the group in front of a number of black and white backdrops with dancers, before being showered by rain.
The video shoot had to be cut short according to British newspaper the “Daily Mirror”, since group member Simon injured himself. According to a ‘source’ for the newspaper “There was a thunderstorm scene, and they were breaking out some moves on an extremely slippery floor. When he fell, he was in agony and had to can filming for the day.”
The group will continue their promotion around Europe during the upcoming days in the UK on radio shows around the country. This evening, an interview from the group can be heard on Real Radio at 8pm in Yorkshire and Wales.
