SIMON WEBBE has teamed up with James Bond baddie Rick Yune on a new Hollywood blockbuster movie.
The former Blue singer has seen his solo career go from strength to strength since splitting with bandmates Lee Ryan, Anthony Costa and Duncan James.
His latest offering, My Soul Pleads For You, is out this week and is taken from his second album, Grace, released last November.
And his musical writing ability impressed actor, writer and producer Rick so much that he invited Simon to compose the soundtrack to his new film, The Fifth Commandment.
Rick, who played Zao, the diamond scarred baddie in Die Another Day and Johnny-Tran in The Fast And The Furious, said: "I'd heard Simon's music a lot whenever I was in the UK and really liked his style.
"So I asked him if he'd be interested in writing the music for my movie."

The Korean-American actor has written, produced and starred in the new action thriller about an assassin who turns bodyguard, having had a change of heart after saving a girl's life.
Simon, right, said a chance meeting in the toilets of a London club brought the pair together.
"I was washing my hands, looked up and there was Rick standing by the mirror," he said.
"I said: 'Hey, you're that guy from The Fast And The Furious' and he said: 'You're that guy from Blue. I like your music. Let's have a drink.'"
And not only did they have the same taste in music, the pair also shared the same taste in women, as Simon revealed.
"The funny thing is we found out that night that we were both seeing the same girl," he said.
"He introduced me to his date who was a girl I'd been dating. It didn't cause any bad feeling though. We just laughed about it and have remained friends ever since." Three years on and, although Simon was enjoying success as a solo artist and had set up his own management company, UK Team, he was searching for other challenges.
"We got chatting about our projects," he said. When Rick told me he was writing and producing a new movie, I was like 'So who is doing the soundtrack for it?' and he said: 'You are, my man', and that was it."
The Fifth Commandment was filmed in Thailand and the cast includes Keith David, who played Ryan Phillippe's LAPD boss in the Oscar-winning movie Crash.
"It's a great storyline with all the right elements," said Simon.
"Think a top action movie - The Bodyguard meets Street Fighter. It's got lots of explosions and is fast paced.
And expect a new musical direction for the R&B singer, who remained tight-lipped about his contribution to the movie.
"I can't say exactly which tunes will make it on the soundtrack," said Simon,
"I'm working on a few at the moment that may or may not make it to the final cut.
"It won't be urban tunes, but more versatile with lots of different styles coming through."
